The enjoyment and experiences that we have had this week have been amazing! We have taken a look at all the characters from Alice in wonderland and what different features they have. Weโve also looked at the Euroโs and all the different teams taking part, with us even taking part in football ourselves and then ended the week with cherry day.. yum! The Learning never ends with us here at MonkeyMoos.

The children have enjoyed learning a card game called snap! They listened to the adult explain how it works and they were very excited to call out the word โsnap!โ The queen ๐ of hearts โฅ๏ธ was not so happy losing on the other hand.
This allowed the children to maintain focus and watch out for the same numbers.๐ข
Are you as mad as a hatter, as mad as can be?! The children got very creative and used lots of colourful art materials to create the worlds most colourful top hat!๐ฉ They helped each other out with the cutting and took it in turns.
But we canโt forget making magical ๐งโโ๏ธ potions. ๐งช the same ones that Alice drank, They used the bottles to fill up with magical water, and then said magical powers to make the potion work to make them big and strong.
Itโs coming home ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
As itโs the Semi Finals we have had a football โฝ๏ธ crazy day, from creating our own football โฝ๏ธ pitches big and small, creating England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ flags and a Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ one.
Predicting who will win and as if some of the children predicted Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ would win ๐ข
They had fun creating a โitโs coming home videoโ as well as dancing along to โitโs coming homeโ. We spoke about all the traditional English tradition Such as Cream tea โ๏ธ Sausage and mash, fish ๐ and chips and also Denmarkโs traditional food such as smรธrrebrรธd (open sandwiches ๐ฅช) Danish pastries ๐ฅฎ and other traditions too.
Letโs all celebrate ๐ and wish England ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ a fantastic game!
COME ON ENGLAND ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ ITS COMING HOME, FOOTBALLS COMING HOME!
Good afternoon everybody! ๐
This morning in the babies have been having a tea โ๏ธ party ๐. They helped get it all ready making their own sandwiches ๐ฅช. They have been assembling them with their choice of filling before helping to set the table up all ready! This is all in the spirit of Alice in wonderland day. They have also been exploring the messy tray filled with hearts โฅ๏ธ for the one and only Queen ๐ of Hearts โฅ๏ธ. This afternoon they have been looking at the white rabbit ๐ and his long ears ๐. They then have been making their very own rabbit ears ๐ to wear. Next they have been wearing their bunny ears to play sleeping bunnies.
The toddlers meanwhile have been getting creative by making Cheshire Cat ๐ headbands with cat ears ๐ on to help acknowledge Alice in Wonderland ๐ธ Day. They used different mark making tools โ๏ธ to decorate the headband before sticking down the ears and measuring ๐ how big it needed to be for their heads. This afternoon they have been making towers or sandcastles ๐ฐ using different sized containers in the sand tray. This got them looking at language of size or shape.
While all this was happening Preschool were getting messy and creative making mad hatters hats ๐ฉ using glue as well as different media such as lolly sticks ๐ญ and sequins โจ. This afternoon they have been engaging in independent reading ๐ with friends to look at how stories are structured as well as how books are read left to right โฌ ๏ธโก๏ธ.
